The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why." --- Mark Twain
This quote resonates with me in such a profound way.
For a long time, I pondered and soul searched on how I could make a lasting impact in the world. I often thought, what is my legacy? I have always been inspired by people in history that have taken leaps of faith and followed their heart's passion and strong intuition. Those who have made lasting changes in the world did so without letting fear hold them back.
I wanted to be that person, I am that person. It took some time but I found my space, I found my voice and I now walk my own path.
I seek truth and justice. I seek a life free from violence and indignities. I seek safety and freedom of movement. I seek education, economic opportunities, and access to high quality health and wellness care. I seek gender equality. I seek access to clean water and sanitation and access to affordable food and vaccines. I seek compassionate, empathic and responsible world leaders and the same type of leadership within my own government.
I seek peace and diplomacy.
I AM A WORLD CITIZEN.
I seek all of these human rights and even more on behalf of myself and all world citizens.
This, I believe is my purpose and my calling.
I feel so inspired by Mark Twain's quote. It is true -- the day I was born was an important day. The day I found out why I was born was life-changing.
I am happy in my purpose.
